Ashish Aggarwal holds a Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a specialization in digital audio signal processing. His initial work was instrumental in the development of new audio standards and was awarded the prestigious IEEE Signal Processing Best Paper Award. Ashish started his career as an audio architect where he led a team of 8 people in algorithm and software development for iPod. He later joined Harman International as part of the Advanced Technology Group where he pioneered the development of new audio algorithms. In 2004, Ashish architected an IEEE 1394-based 'whole home media network’ solution – one of two known systems in the world – to network media. From 2005 to 2007 he was the head of an R&D team of 30 highly skilled scientists, software and hardware engineers. During this term, he successfully led the ground-up end-to-end development of Harman’s high-end media server project line – the largest ever project in Harman Consumer Group’s history. He orchestrated the creation and subsequent management of cross-functional and multi-national teams and processes.  In 2007, Ashish was appointed to Harman’s Corporate Technology Council. He later served as a Technology and Strategy consultant to the Harman CTO’s office. 

Since March 2008, Ashish has served as the CEO of Violet3D  (www.violet3d.com), a company which he co-founded.

Ashish has to his credit several distinguished publications, patents and public presentations. He is a member of the IEEE, AES and an appointed member of IEEE’s technical committee on Audio and Electroacoustics.  Ashish also holds a management degree from University of California, Santa Barbara’s Technology Management Program.
